1. What can be done about my neighbor's barking dog?

It shall be unlawful for any person to own, keep or harbor any dog or cat that causes annoyance or disturbance to any resident of the city by loud and frequent barking, howling and/or yelping, mewing, or other similar loud or raucous sounds.  Prosecutions under this subsection shall be made only upon the sworn written complaint filed by any person so annoyed or disturbed.  

If you have talked to the pet owner, talked to animal control officer, and continue to have problems your next step would be to file a written complaint with the Sheriff's Office.

1. What day is my utility bill due?

10th of every month to avoid any additional fees.

1. Where is my vehicle?

If your vehicle was tagged and then consequently towed away, it would be towed by the Snake River Burley Towing Service.  The number to the Snake River Burley Towing is 208-678-2050.

2. How do I get rid of the weeds?

1. What can I do with my grass clippings?

You may dispose of your grass clippings in your regular city Trash Can. Please do not put it on the ground next to the Can or in the alley.

2. When will my trash get picked up?

Trash gets picked up once a week.

3. What items can I put in the container at the Service Center?

At this time, we only collect cardboard items in our container. All cardboard must be flattened before being put in the bin.

4. How often does the City of Burley empty the carboard container?

Throughout the week, the Sanitation Department checks on the cardboard container. When it is full, they then schedule for it to be emptied.

5. Why might my can have been missed?

Often times, cans are placed in areas where the sanitation truck is unable to reach them. If your Can is being blocked by a car (or cars), or left on the sidewalk, we are unable to empty your container, resulting in it being skipped.

1. HELP! How do I reach the water department to report a leak or request that my water service is shutoff?

You can call the water department at (208) 878-2103 at any time.  Follow the prompts to be connected with our on-call water operator who can address your emergency around the clock.  There is no charge for our staff to respond to a call during or outside of normal office hours. 

2. I have an irrigation leak, who do I call?

If you have a low pressure irrigation leak with the City of Burley you will call the water department at 208-878-2103.

If you are not on the Cities low pressure irrigation system you may get your irrigation water from the Burley Irrigation District at 208-678-2511 or from your Homeowner's Association. 

3. How do I know if I'm on the Low Pressure Irrigation System?

If you are on the low pressure irrigation system, you will receive a bill from the City of Burley.  These bills come out in April, May and June each year.
