Proposed Water Rate Increase

important-ge94d37556_1280

The City of Burley is proposing residential and commercial high pressure water rate increases from $25.37 to $25.88 for the first 3,000 gallons of water used monthly and from $1.23 to $1.26 per 1,000 gallons of water used after the first 3,000 gallons each month.  For a typical residential and/or small commercial water user, the increase would be about $0.50-0.80 per month in the winter and about $1.30-$3.15 per month in the summer months for those who irrigate with high pressure water.

The City of Burley is proposing a low pressure irrigation water rate increase from $0.01448 to $0.01506 per square foot of property annually.  For a typical 50’ x 125’ city lot the increase would be $3.63 annually.

The City of Burley is proposing a Burley Heyburn Industrial Park process water increase from $0.93 to $0.97 per 1,000 gallons of water used.  For a small to large industry the increase would be about $160-600 monthly.

The City Council will be discussing these proposed rate increases during their October 18, 2022, City Council meeting.  Comments, about the proposed rate increase, can be mailed to the City of Burley, can be emailed to breiter@burleyidaho.org, or can be made in person at the City Council meeting.
