Biography

Jim Powell, born in Jerome Idaho and raised on the family dairy farm in Richfield Idaho where he graduated from High School.  After High School Jim attended CSI and obtained several certifications in animal genetics.  To further his education Jim attended Christ for the Nations where he received his AA degree in Biblical Theology. Jim's passion for learning continued when he received his BA in Leadership from Jacksonville theological seminary, going on to earn his masters certification in life coaching.  

Jim's life skills has allowed him to be part of several growing and thriving communities.  Jim has worked with Mayors, City Councils and County Commissioners from Boise, Nampa, Caldwell and several other cities and counties.  His role as the Past President of the Nampa Association of Realtors has afforded him many opportunities to serve, grow and learn the process in each of the thriving and growing communities. 

Jim has traveled extensively throughout Idaho teaching, coaching and consulting as he served on a National and State board with the SIMN Board.  One location Jim kept coming back to was in Burley where he eventually accepted a position as Pastor of Mountain View Christian Center.  Through Jim's leadership the organization gave away over 12 million pounds of food, fish, thousands of coats, shoes, boots, free haircuts to kids, blankets and humanitarian aid to the residents of Southern Idaho.

Currently Jim is developing his business career as a licensed Insurance agent. Jim is married to his beautiful wife Lynette where together they have 9 grown children.
