Russ Mallory is a Burley native and graduated from Burley High School, where he was a two-year starter in both football and basketball, doing everything having to do with sports. After a two-year stint of in the U.S. Army, serving a year in the states and a year in Vietnam, he attended both the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) and Idaho State University. Russ spent over thirty years locally as a field man and crop advisor with Cenex and Simplot Grower Solutions, retiring in December 2010.
Russ has been married for almost thirty years to his wife Denise and has five children and eight grandchildren. Denise would tell you that if an activity doesn't involve food, a ball of some kind, (these days usually small and white), politics or grandchildren, you might have to pry Mallory off the couch. Russ has been a member of the City Council since 2012.
